Besides being linked to São Paulo defender Luizão, it seems Fulham are interested in another player from the Brazilian club.
According to a new story from UOL, the Whites are chasing midfielder Pablo Maia as well. The Craven Cottage side reportedly already made an attempt ahead of a January move.
The website writes that the amounts on the table ‘have not been revealed’, although that information itself makes it sound like it was a real bid made by Fulham.
UOL writes that São Paulo ‘consider Pablo Maia a great professional’ and ‘acknowledge the good technical level’ the player has, also being aware that there are other English clubs who are interested in the player.
The outlet claims to have also been in touch with Junior Pedroso, the midfielder’s agent, and the representative chose not to make any comments on this subject.
Fulham recently signed Willian, who had just left Corinthians, and Andreas Pereira, who had been at Flamengo and returned to Manchester United. So the Whites are clearly attentive to the Brazilian market, and it seems they’re looking for a double coup at São Paulo.
