Fulham decided against Tosin Adarabioyo’s early departure in January, according to reports from Italy.

Sky Sport journalist Gianluca Di Marzio is the one with the information, claiming that AC Milan were interested in paying for his transfer.

Quoted by All Milan, the pundit says Fulham could’ve sold the player instead of seeing him walk for free at the end of his contract in the summer, but chose to keep him in the squad.

“There are players like Tosin Adarabioyo whose contract will expire in June. The Rossoneri would have liked to anticipate his farewell to Fulham, but the English decided not to sell him in January. Even if, in reality, they will then lose him for zero in the summer,” said Di Marzio.

Adarabioyo has 15 appearances for Fulham this season, as despite his struggle with a groin injury, he became an important player for Marco Silva for the past couple of months.

That’s a pretty good reason for the Whites to decide against his January move, not to mention that there are still a few months for the parties to try to find an agreement for him to stay at Craven Cottage.

So even though Adarabioyo’s future remains completely unclear, that may have been a message from Fulham’s plans, although they should know Milan will now be competing to give him a contract as well.
