Arsenal and Fulham are yet to reach an agreement over goalkeeper Bernd Leno, despite the German being keen on the move.
That’s according to journalist Florian Plettenburg, who says Fulham ‘continue to hope’ that the Gunners will lower their demands.
Leno has been heavily linked with a move away from Arsenal this summer after falling down the pecking order following Aaron Ramsdale’s arrival last summer.
He played the number two role last season and could be further pushed down the list of options by the arrival of Matt Turner this year.
Plettenburg continues on that line today, stating that there is ‘still no agreement’ between the two sides.
According to him, Fulham continue to hope that Arsenal will ‘come down with the price’ before the end of the transfer window.
He says Leno is ‘still saying yes’ to the transfer but is waiting for the two clubs to strike an agreement. Negotiations, though, are ‘open-ended’, so there is still a possibility that will happen.
Update #Leno: Still no agreement between Fulham and Arsenal. Fulham continues to hope that Arsenal will come down with the price. Open end. Leno is still saying YES to this transfer. @SkySportDE 🇩🇪
Meanwhile #Mbabu to Fulham is close to be done and in final stages.
