Joao Palhinha is not interested in a return to Fulham or a move to West Ham United at present, instead wanting to ‘make it big’ at Bayern Munich.

That’s according to BILD, who report that the midfielder is determined to stay at Bayern and prove his worth after a difficult first season in Germany.

Palhinha joined Bayern in a €51m deal from Fulham in the summer but has barely featured under Vincent Kompany this season.

That’s led to reports that he could be moved on, with it explained that Fulham and West Ham would both welcome him back to the Premier League with open arms.

Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund recently insisted that wasn’t the case, telling the German media “it’s not our plan at all to let him go in the summer!”

BILD now say that it’s not in Palhinha’s plans either, with him keen to stay in Munich and ‘make it big’ at the club. He feels at home in the city and enjoys living right next to the English Garden.

He seems to believe he can still prove himself in Germany after a frustrated first year in which he’s failed to get beyond Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka and Aleksandar Pavlovic in the pecking order.

Thus, it seems he’s ignoring any efforts from Fulham and West Ham for now and they may be wise to turn their attention elsewhere.
