Out of contract at the end of the season, AJ Auxerre’s Ousoumae Camara, their reserves’ captain, could end up at Craven Cottage this summer.
This is according to France Football on Friday evening, who claim that Fulham are one of three clubs interested in the 19-year-old midfielder.
As well as the Cottagers, Genoa in Italy, Sint-Truiden in Belgium and a number of Ligue 2 sides in France are said to have him on their shortlist.
Since he has yet to feature for AJ Auxerre’s first-team, Camara wouldn’t be signed to slot straight into Slavisa Jokanovic’s squad, but appears to be more of a project for the future.
Lingering in mid table, the Ligue 2 side aren’t exactly club they were when they featured young and exciting talent like Djibril Cissé and Philippe Mexès during their successful Ligue 1 years.
If Fulham see him as a player they can help bring through to their first-team, why not give them a go if the opportunity arises.
