According to Haberturk in Turkey, Fulham and Besiktas have come to an agreement over the transfer of Super Lig side’s goalkeeper, Fabri.
This backs up Wednesday claims from A Spor.
Following their promotion to the Premier League, the Cottagers have been going around Europe trying to expand their squad for the forthcoming season, and a new goalkeeper was desperately needed.
With just Marcus Bettinelli at Slavisa Jokanovic’s disposal, Fulham needed someone to either supplant the 26-year-old or act as backup, and it appears the Spanish shot stopper is the man they’ve settled on.
The Turkish outlet report the London based club will pay €6m for the 30-year-old’s services, who made 43 appearances in all competitions last year for Besiktas, keeping 13 clean sheets.
Haberturk seem pretty confident this will be going through anytime soon, and the Super Lig side have already targeted a replacement in Bursaspor’s Harun Tekin.
Should that fail, the club will continue with the two goalkeepers already at the club: Tolga Zengin and Utku Yuvakuran.
Guess we’ll find out very quickly if this is true.
