Morgan Sanson left Montpellier for Marseille in January 2017 and a year later, clubs were interested in securing his services due to his impressive performances for the club.

In December, the 24-year-old, who can play in the heart of the pitch or as a defensive or attacking midfielder, committed his future to the Ligue 1 outfit and his current deal runs down in 2022.

According to Telefoot, the Frenchman is one of the players who has a high market value  at the club and is already drawing attention from clubs across Europe.

From England, Wolverhampton Wanderers get a mention in the report as it’s stated the Premier League outfit are ‘still following’ Sanson.

The player admitted he had contacts with the clubs outside France during the last summer transfer window, but no further details were given.

Borussia Dortmund are also chasing the versatile midfielder along with Nuno Espírito Santo’s side, but taking him from Marseille for either Wolves or the Bundesliga side may not be easy.

Speaking to Telefoot, Sanson confirmed he is happy with his current employer: “Yes, of course I want to stay here long term. I extended a few months ago.”

“I feel good. I have extended because I am happy in this club, I want to progress with the club.

“It is clear that we have had a season that is quite complicated, but we still have our goals in mind, not only for the end of the season, but also for next season.”

Wolves will have to dangle the Premier League carrot.
