On March 21st, The Sun in England first reported Ander Herrera is set to leave Manchester United in the summer and make a switch to Paris Saint-Germain.
Marca then joined the English press to confirm the interest from the Ligue 1 winners in the former Athletic Bilbao man.
It was reported that PSG are willing to offer him a three-year deal and a weekly salary of €173,000.
The midfielder’s contract at Old Trafford runs out after the end of the season and so far, and he’s not yet agreed a new deal. His current situation will allow him to sign a pre-contract agreement with another club outside England.
RMC Sport now echoes what was reported by the British and the Spanish press as they claim a source close to the 29-year-old has confirmed that he is in ‘advanced negotiations’ with Thomas Tuchel’s side for a four-year deal.
They say this has been ‘confirmed by sources close to the player’.
That’s different from Marca, who said three years.
It was PSG sporting director Antero Henrique who suggested Herrera’s name to the ex-Borussia Dortmund manager.
Paris United, another website which covers PSG, now claims Henrique wants to close the deal quickly, for which a new meeting has been scheduled with Herrera’s agent Arturo Canales.

Herrera has been a key figure in Manchester United’s midfield since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took charge at Old Trafford and losing him on a free transfer could be a big blow for the Red Devils.
