Brighton and Hove Albion will be presented with their chance to sign Olivier Boscagli on a free transfer, with him unlikely to renew his deal at PSV Eindhoven.

Eindhoven’s Dagblad cover the player today as part of a look at 23 players who are set to be out of contract at PSV in the coming months.

They say that there are currently nine PSV first-team players who have contracts expiring on July 1st, 2025. They will be free to negotiate a pre-contract deal with other clubs from January 1st and Boscagli is one of them.

He was heavily linked with a move to Brighton throughout the summer and made it clear he wanted the move, but PSV blocked it, and he remained in the Netherlands.

He’s since admitted he will be looking at his free transfer options next year and ED back that up, reporting that at this moment in time it appears he will leave PSV on a free at the end of the season.

That will surely have ears pricking up at Brighton, who wanted him this summer will surely be tempted by the idea of a free transfer.

Of course, there’s plenty of time for his situation at PSV to change but right now, the opportunity is there for Brighton to get their man.
