Eliaquim Mangala is expected to leave Manchester City on loan before the August 31st deadline. Yesterday, French daily L’Equipe reported Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Mangala on loan.
The French international has also been linked with a move to Serie A with AC Milan and Napoli keen on signing him, whilst a return to Porto hasn’t been ruled out either.
In fact, according to France Football, Managala is likely to be loaned out to Porto. Porto could also offer the player Champions League football, and Mangala will be hoping to revive his career there.
A move to AC Milan has been ruled out as Alessio Romagnoli is set to stay at the club. The French website don’t sound too confident about it just yet, and we should wait for more concrete reports.
The French international isn’t a part of the future plans of Pep Guardiola, and will be hoping to seal a move away quickly. Porto would get nowhere near Mangala’s wage level so Manchester City and/or the player are going to have to help in that regard.
