If you’ve been following our coverage of the French press on Twitter this week then you’ll be fully aware of the one story making all the headlines: Unai Emery’s successor at Paris Saint-Germain.
While it seems Mauricio Pochettino would be the ideal man for the job, there’s a general understanding he won’t be leaving Tottenham just yet.
That means Antonio Conte has taken the lead, with some going as far as saying contact has already been made with the Chelsea manager’s entourage.
While we haven’t seen anyone saying an agreement has been reached, Le10 Sport seem to think somewhere has and they try and calm everything down.
The French website claim there is ‘no agreement’ as things stand between the Italian and the Ligue 1 leaders, or even anything remotely close to that.
They at least agree that contact has been made, but that’s as far as it goes.
We’ve got our doubts when it comes to Chelsea’s Antonio Conte and Paris Saint-Germain, mostly because he doesn’t seem to fit what they are trying to build over in the French capital.
Is Neymar really going to track back and help out a galavanting Layvin Kurzawa (or whoever replaces him next season) down the left in the Italian’s 3-4-3?
Remember the last time he tried to make a tackle? It was against Marseille about two weeks ago.
That went well, didn’t it?
