Luis Campos is ‘still in discussion’ with Arsenal, according to RMC Sport.
The director of football is without a job since officially leaving Lille last December, months after he stopped conducting his duties for them.
Since Montpellier won the title in 2012, Paris Saint-Germain have been crowned French champions every year barring the last term and the 2017/18 season, when it was won by Lille and AS Monaco respectively.
Campos played a crucial role in building the two sides’ squad and left them a year before they won the title.
Recent reports have linked him to OGC Nice, but RMC Sport explain there has been no talks between the two parties.
However, he’s not short of suitors across Europe as the Portuguese is in contact with both the Gunners and Los Blancos. Campos is also ‘attentive to the evolution’ of other European clubs.
Edú Gaspar is the north London club’s technical director and as a part of his current role, he will have to take care of Arsenal’s recruitment.
With RMC Sport reporting the Premier League side are in ‘discussion’ with Campos, it remains to be seen how it would impact Edú’s position at the Emirates going forward and could be a hint that they’re not entirely pleased with how he’s fared so far.
