Despite signing a five-year deal with Leicester City in 2016, Islam Slimani has never been able to cement himself at the club.
The striker didn’t settle well with the Foxes, and ended up being loaned to the likes of Newcastle United, Fenerbahce and AS Monaco.
But apparently he’s looking to step up now, because according to claims from France today, he’d like to sign for Paris Saint Germain.
That’s exactly what you just read. Soccer Link claims that Slimani is being offered to several clubs by his agents, and his favourite option is to play along Neymar and Kylian Mbappé.
Unfortunately for him, the move is considered to be unlikely. Largely because Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting is now expected to renew his deal with the Paris side.
Soccer Link says that other French clubs have been asking about him, and Fiorentina are interested in bringing the player to Italy as well. Since his contract with Leicester City expires next summer, a decent fee should be enough to take him from the Premier League side on a permanent move.
