With Leeds United still looking for a replacement for Raphinha, French outlet Foot Mercato today publishes a list of players who are wanted by the Elland Road side.
The most highlighted target in their report has already been playing in English football since 2019, and that’s Ismaila Sarr. The story claims he’s currently ‘courted’ by the Whites.
Foot Mercato says the 24-year-old is ‘tempted by a departure’ following Watford’s relegation to the Championship. And the Hornets seem prepared to see him leave, as they’ve already set a price of €35m for his sale this summer.
Another target for Leeds United is said to be from Rennes, the same club Raphinha joined from in 2020. That’s Martin Terrier, who’s wanted by ‘several Premier League clubs’.
Finally, there’s also interest in PSV winger Cody Gapko. For him, Foot Mercato claim the Dutch side demand €30m. The Whites would have competition from Arsenal, who ‘also inquired’ about a potential transfer.
The outlet insists that Leeds may see ‘its workforce move’ before the start of the Premier League season this weekend, so the Elland Road side may be ready to take action for a new winger.
