A quick search on Rayan Ait-Nouri shows the 16 year old has been linked with the likes of AS Monaco, Atletico Madrid and Manchester City.
Currently with French club Angers, the youngster has already been on the club’s bench for a Ligue 1 match and had a call-up to France’s U18 squad. L’Equipe report he may not be with the club when next season starts, unless it’s on loan from whoever he signs for.
Two of the clubs named above, Atletico and Monaco, have a connection that Wolves fans won’t need explaining. Jorge Mendes has helped both with transfers, and L’Equipe bring Wolves into the equation.
Mendes is Ait-Nouri’s representative and the French newspaper believe the agent’s connections at Wolves, and his ‘very strong influence’, could lead to the player being pushed to Molineux.
It’s just an idea for the left-back, and perhaps an assumption from L’Equipe, and there’s no claim of talks or any offer. What is stated is that there’s been talk, without a specific club named, of a transfer worth over €10m.
Whatever happens, it’s surely best if Ait-Nouri, who turns 17 in June, continues to be at Angers, there’s no need to move and play youth football elsewhere if he’s going to get some senior chances next season.
