Diagnosed with a ‘confidential’ injury by Arsène Wenger back in December, not much else has been revealed about Yaya Sanogo’s condition.
The latest mention of the French striker came on Friday, when Arsenal’s manager included him in a list of strikers available to him, discarding the possibility of a new goalscorer arriving in the winter.
This, you would think, would suggest Wenger still has some trust in the former Auxerre starlet, yet La Gazette des Transferts believe he might be open to let him go on loan for the remainder of the season.
The French magazine believe interest from a few Ligue 1 clubs, such as Saint-Etienne and Nantes, could tempt the Arsenal manager to get him some minutes under his belt.
La Gazette also include Lyon in there, but considering they are currently going for Memphis Depay, Yaya Sanogo probably isn’t top of their list.
Rejecting an offer from Leeds for the 23-year-old back in the summer, Wenger is yet to use the forward this season, and with Danny Welbeck coming back, we can’t see him playing at all.
Perhaps sending him out on loan is a good idea after all?
