Catalan newspaper Sport have linked that many forwards with Barcelona in their Thursday edition, that they appear to have confused themselves.
Pages 2 and 3 see a double page spread full of options, after a front page featuring Mario Gomez, Ayoze Perez, Alexandre Lacazette, Robin van Persie and Lucas Perez.
Newcastle United’s Ayoze Perez is one of the few players to be mentioned more than once. In one section, Sport doubt whether he could fit Barcelona’s system, and then in another section they state he’d perfectly fit the system.
It’s claimed that Perez is aware Barcelona have tentatively asked about signing him, and he would be ‘delighted’ to wear the club’s famous shirt.
The Spaniard is worth around €15m, say Sport, and is being taken seriously as an option to replace Pedro, who went to Chelsea last summer.
