Real Betis are reportedly interested in Sunderland midfielder Jordi Gómez.
According to Onda Cero (via El Desmarque), the former Swansea City man is on the Spanish club’s shopping list to bolster their squad for next season.
Gómez is well known by Real Betis’ new coach Gus Poyet, since the Uruguayan was the one who signed the player for Sunderland from Wigan Athletic in 2014 on a free transfer.
The 31-year-old finished the last season playing for Blackburn Rovers, where he spent three months on loan, and made 19 appearances in the Championship.
According to Transfermarkt, Gómez’ currently value is £2.25m. El Desmarque describe the player as “a battler” in midfield and praises the fact that he can play in both wings.
