Former Hamburg sporting director Oliver Kreuzer has told the German media Leeds United target Pierre-Michel Lasogga needs to sign for a club which will value him.

Last week Lasogga was criticised by Hamburg investor Klaus-Michael Kuhne, who branded the forward ‘the flop of the century’.

Speaking to Sport1, Kreuzer was asked about the situation with Lassoga, and whether the 25 year old should remain at Hamburg after Kuhne’s comments: “If there is a club that has a financial solution I can imagine a move (to a German club), or there is a possibility of going abroad. The whole subject has to come to rest, I want Pierre to find a club where he gets the value he deserves.”

Earlier this month Lasogga was strongly linked with move to Leeds United, with some claims a deal was close. However, last week his move to England went quiet with reports in Germany Lasogga was having second thoughts about a move to Leeds United.

It was explained Lasogga was concerned he wouldn’t be able get into the team because of Leeds United’s top scorer last season, Chris Wood. However, the New Zealand international has since signed for Burnley, which could open the door for Lasogga.

Leeds United have been linked with other forwards since Wood’s exit, but Lasogga could still be an option for the Championship side.
