Milliyet journlist Serdar Saridag claims Besiktas captain Oguzhan Ozyakup is considering leaving the Super Lig club this summer and there’s a possibility of a move to Brighton and Hove Albion.
Saridag say Ozyakup’s agents are in talks with a couple of clubs and his entourage have reportedly spoken with Brighton, along with Dutch giants Ajax.
It’s reported the 26 year old could be looking to leave the Besiktas in order to make a fresh start, despite being one of the best paid players at the club. It’s claimed he may be interested in a return to the Premier League, given the Brighton interest.
The player spent four years at Arsenal but wasn’t able to fight his way into contention with the Gunners.
Ozyakup has previously been linked with the likes of Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, and a return to Arsenal.
This season the Turkey international has lost his place in the team to Dorukhan Tokoz and hasn’t started a league game since November.
