Celtic on Monday are travelling to Germany for their Champions League group name against Borussia Monchengladbach.

The Glasgow club are currently bottom of the group with one point from three games played so far, with Gladbach one place ahead on three points. The match is therefore crucial to either keep alive any slim hope of getting through to the next round, or to battle for the Europa League qualifying spot.

Gladbach have had a few injury concerns of late and Germany’s Kicker has published a round-up of the situation ahead of the match against Celtic. Tobias Strobl is expected to be fit to start the game, after missing the last match following a comeback from a muscle tear.

Brazilian Raffael is also expected to be fit enough to return for the Celtic match, even if he only makes the squad, rather than the starting eleven.

Less positive for Gladbach’s chances is that Thorgan Hazard is still struggling with injury, as is Ibrahima Traore.
