Sport claims Philippe Coutinho has said ‘yes’ to Paris Saint-Germain.
The ex-Liverpool man could play a vital role in helping Barcelona sign Neymar and he is said to be aware he has no future at the club.
To reduce the Neymar transfer fee, Sport say the Spanish champions will have to include players as a part of the deal, despite claims from Brazil that this won’t be part of a potential move.
It’s claimed the ‘first positive news’ in regards Neymar’s potential return to Barca comes from Coutinho, who has agreed to join the Paris club.
Even though he is with the Brazil squad for the 2019 Copa America, his representatives are negotiating his arrival in France with PSG sporting director Leonardo.
Conditions specified for the transfer have been viewed as positive by Thomas Tuchel’s side because Coutinho would charge half of what Neymar is earning.
After the end of the Copa America, the deal to take Coutinho to PSG could accelerate.
Sport states it is the first piece of puzzle for Barca to sign Neymar. They further explain that for him to end up at Barca, the Spanish champions will have to include Ivan Rakitic, along with Coutinho.
