It’s decision time for Jann Fiete Arp.

With Hamburg increasingly looking doomed to relegation, the young striker needs to decide where he’ll play next season and how he sees the next few years in his career going.

Arp has been repeatedly linked with a move to the Premier League. First it was Chelsea who were strongly linked and then Tottenham soon took over, with Mauricio Pochettino’s club then being the side most linked with signing Arp from Hamburg.

Earlier this month it was reported in Germany that Tottenham were set to ‘intensify’ efforts to sign the player, and things looked positive.

But then the worst thing happened for any English club wanting to sign a German youngster… Bayern Munich got involved.

Bild say Bayern have made some sort of offer to Arp, so if Tottenham are as keen as has been reported then they need to get a move on and make their own offer.

Crucially, Arp doesn’t seem totally taken by Bayern’s interest and is still considering a Hamburg stay. Whoever the 18 year old joins, it may be best if he spends at least the first half of next season at HSV, whatever division they’re in.
