Real Madrid will not be loaning out Arda Güler in the January transfer window to Arsenal, or anyone else.

That’s according to Defensa Central, who say the Spanish giants have seen the Arsenal rumours but are completely unmoved by them.

Reports throughout this week have indicated Arsenal could get Güler on loan in the January window in a deal similar to the one they first agreed for Martin Odegaard.

That saw the Danish midfielder move to the Emirates on loan at the end of January in 2021 before then making the move permanent for €35m in August that year.

He, like Güler, had been struggling for game time at the Santiago Bernabeu and the move ended up benefitting everyone. The belief was a similar situation could play out for Güler.

Defensa Central, though, say that despite Güler being in the ‘eye of the storm’ in terms of transfer rumours, nothing will be happening.

Real Madrid are more than aware of the rumours, but they see them from ‘afar’ and have insisted “no one is going to leave in the winter market” when asked about Güler and other players.

The story could be different in the summer transfer window, but it seems for now there is no intention to let anything happen in January.
