Milliyet report Fenerbahçe are planning to offer Emmanuel Emenike to Sunderland in order to get Jeremain Lens.
The 29-year old Nigerian is currently not in the plans of Dick Advocaat and his time at Fenerbahçe looks to be coming to an end. Emenike is looking for new club, but so far has been unable to agree deals with Lokomotiv Moscow and Spartak Moscow.
Fenerbahçe are planning to use Emenike as a makeweight to get a deal completed for Lens following the Dutchman’s successful loan spell with the Turkish club this season. Sunderland might be tempted by the offer because Emenike could give them much needed reinforcement in the attacking positions.
Sunderland have had to rely on Jermain Defoe’s goals this season and the former West Ham United forward could take some of the pressure off the former England man.
Despite the Nigerian’s struggles this campaign he could still be good signing for David Moyes if he can find the form he showed at Karabükspor before his move to Fenerbahce.
Karabükspor, like Sunderland, play on the counter-attack, which could bring the best out of Emenike.
