Benfica may have a very good solution for Ola John’s failed loan spell at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The player, who according to reports from late December wasn’t wanted by the Championship club any longer, has attracted some interest from Turkey.

Fanatik claims that Antalyaspor are considering to sign him from Benfica by paying his ‘market value’ of €5m for the transfer. His name was suggested to the club and they’re now thinking about it.

With only 71 minutes played for Wolves since his arrival, the winger has really failed to impress and clearly is not in the club’s plans for the rest of the season.

Benfica paid €9m to buy the winger from Twente in 2012. But they only kept him in the squad for two seasons, as he was later loaned to Hamburg, Reading and then to Wolves last summer.

Ola John’s contract with Benfica runs until 2018 and he has a €45m release clause.
