Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has been asked to sign Chelsea’s Noni Madueke.
That’s according to Giovanni Galeone, and he made this claim during a chat with Gazzetta dello Sport.
Galeone has coached several Italian clubs, including Udinese, Pescara, SPAL and others, during his managerial career for over three decades, and the newspaper claims he’s a ‘great friend’ of Allegri.
After talking about Allegri’s future, Gazzetta asked the 83-year-old whether he had given any advice to to the Juve’s manager over signings for the Old Lady. When responding to this, Galeone revealed about the Chelsea player.
“Last summer I would have gone for Berardi. Now, instead, my favourite is Madueke from Chelsea: I’ve been talking to Max about this kid for some time, but I don’t know if it’s feasible for Juventus,” he said.
Chelsea signed the 21-year-old from PSV Eindhoven in January 2023 and offered him a deal until 2030, with an option for another year.
He’s made 24 league appearances for the Blues, including 11 starts, out of which four of them are from this season.
The England U21 international’s game time has been restricted since Mauricio Pochettino took charge at the west London club last summer.
Therefore, Madueke may consider leaving Chelsea after this season if his situation doesn’t improve in the coming months, making a move to Juventus, if they take Galeone’s advice, a bit easier.
