The Valencian media have been very confident over Francis Coquelin this week. Earlier on Wednesday we covered claims from Valencia that a transfer is so close, the Arsenal midfielder could play for his new club at the weekend.
A transfer is thought to be on the basis of a loan deal with a compulsory purchase option in the summer, which would force Valencia to sign the player for around €12. The Spanish club have done similar deals before, and it works for Arsenal as they’re not desperate for the cash-flow.
Valencia have now dropped a massive hint that the transfer is agreed, tweeting a picture of a suitcase with the initials ‘FC’ on it.

Fans of the Spanish club seem to be very happy judging by their replies. It’s a good season for Valencia so far, and another January signing, Luciano Vietto, scored a hat-trick on Tuesday evening.
Valencia will hope their Arsenal signing can hit the ground running too.
