Despite some improvement under José Mourinho before the Portuguese manager was sacked, Leeds United loanee Rasmus Kristensen appears to have regressed a bit since Daniele De Rossi took over.

Monday night’s 3-2 win over Torino almost encapsulated all the struggles the Dane has suffered since he arrived from Elland Road, with it all starting in the seventh minute.

In acres of space, the Leeds man had a clear shot on goal, but instead of drilling it with his right, he decided to try and curl it with his left, only to hit the outside of the post, leading Corriere dello Sport to tear into him a bit for his display.

Describing his attempt on goal as a ‘lopsided shot’ and a ‘sensational mistake’ by the defender, they point out he also struggled with his defending, as he was far too lackadaisical at times.

Gazzetta dello Sport label him ‘The Worst’ for AS Roma, stating he is ‘always uninvolved’, to the point of being ‘almost timid’, before focusing on his missed shot.

They add he should have put everything through it, but instead ‘fails miserably’ to deliver a very easy goal, as well as being ‘late’ in closing down shots from Samuele Ricci and David Okereke, with neither ending up in a goal, thankfully for the Leeds man.

In short, not his best display for AS Roma, and he will now have to try and bounce back at the next opportunity handed to him by De Rossi, whenever that may be.
