Over the course of the January transfer window, both Crystal Palace and Southampton were linked with a move for Matías Soulé.

The Juventus youngster is currently on loan at Frosinone, where he has been in great form, helping the Serie A side out with 10 goals to date.

Gazzetta dello Sport have an article on some of the business the Turin side could undertake in the next window, and explain that Crystal Palace and Southampton are still sniffing around the forward for a potential deal.

The newspaper suggest his future at the club could be closely tied to that of Federico Chiesa, whose contract renewal is becoming a small source of frustration at Juventus.

That being said, it’s made very clear that ‘everything can quickly change on the market’, as the Italians aren’t ready to give up hope just yet, still trying to get their player extended until 2026.

If they do decide to part ways, however, they will try and make as much money as possible from a sale, meaning selling Soulé would be less essential.

But, and this is where the good news falls for Crystal Palace and Southampton, they could still cash in on both, and a ‘lot will depend on the proposals that arrive’ for the young Argentine.

Should they be almost too good to refuse, there is a chance Juventus cash in both Chiesa and Soulé, but ‘that will only be understood between spring and summer’.

Therefore, Crystal Palace and Southampton need to be patient, but it’s clear a big offer would get the job done, at least in convincing the Serie A side.
