Tottenham have been knocked out of two cup competitions in the space of a few days.
After suffering a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool in the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-finals, Spurs lost 2-1 against Aston Villa in the FA Cup yesterday.
The cup exits have encouraged further questions around Ange Postecouglu’s position at Tottenham.
InterLive have reported that Daniel Levy is considering sacking the Australian at the end of the season and the outlet are confident that Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi is a potential candidate to land the job at the London giants.
They believe that Fabio Paratici, who remains an external consultant at Tottenham despite his suspension, is ‘trying to convince’ the club about moving for Inzaghi.
The report also believes that both Andoni Iraola and Marco Silva will be in the fray. They have been described as ‘internal leads’, with Paratici instead pushing for Inzaghi in the summer.
For now, Postecoglou remains the Tottenham manager, with the Europa League their only shot at winning silverware.
