Leicester City are still to make an offer for Porto fullback Ricardo Pereira, Sport Witness has learned.
Sources claim the Foxes have recently made an approach to know the conditions of a deal for the summer transfer window, but are still to go any further than that.
For now, the interest is taken by the player’s entourage as ‘no big deal’, as they wait for new contacts to start taking things more seriously.
Pereira has been having a solid season at Porto, currently with 38 appearances. Besides being a regular starter as a right-back, he’s also used as a winger once in a while.
The 24-year-old has already worked under manager Claude Puel for one season at French side Nice. He was on loan from Porto at the time, and managed to have a quite impressive spell in Ligue 1.
Although many sources say Pereira has a €25m release clause, local newspaper O Jogo claims it was increased to €37.5m last summer.
