Leicester City interest in Adnan Januzaj is again referenced in the Belgian media on Friday.
HLN reports the Foxes have fixed their eyes on the player as they seek a Riyad Mahrez replacement. It’s also explained the former Manchester United attacker still has ties to England, with friends in the country, and his parents still own a house near his former club.
All that has been gone over before, as has the claim Januzaj would look kindly on a return to Premier League football.
HLN claim ‘Leicester already made an offer’ to Real Sociedad, ‘but the figures in Januzaj’s contract are clear’. There’s a €60m buyout clause, which reportedly drops to €40m for Manchester United.
Januzaj is ‘not on the wish-list of Jose Mourinho yet’.
The story is also covered in Real Sociedad’s local media, who take claims from England before clarifying the situation as they see it.
Diario Vasco report that for three weeks there’s been ‘evidence’ at the Basque club of Leicester interest, but it hasn’t gone any further… which would question the claim an offer has been made.
Januzaj is considered a ‘fundamental’ part of the club’s team for next season and interested clubs would be referred to the €60m clause.
