Earlier on Wednesday, we covered an article surrounding Leicester City’s desire to sign Boubakary Soumaré from Lille and how the King Power Stadium ‘should be his destination’.
The news came from L’Equipe in France, who also stated the defensive midfielder was expected to make a quick move to the Foxes.
Well, it’s all happening on Wednesday, as RMC Sport journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi took to social media a bit later in the day to explain that ‘everything is sorted’ between Leicester and Lille for Soumaré’s transfer.
The agreement is ‘around €25m’, and the player should ‘undergo his medical next week’.

As for Soumaré’s deal with the Premier League side, Bouhafsi states it will be a five-year contract for the the 22-year-old, who was important in Lille’s title winning season, making 32 Ligue 1 appearances throughout the campaign.
Joining the club in 2017 from Paris Saint-Germain’s B team, the midfielder has gone on to make 112 appearances for the northern side since then, showcasing maturity and talent beyond his age along the way.
A seemingly great deal for Leicester, who will be hoping Soumaré’s adaptation to the Premier League will be similar to Wesley Fofana’s.
