On June 21st, multiple reports coming out of Belgium explained Anderlecht’s Albert Sambi Lokonga has agreed personal terms with Arsenal, and the Gunners have submitted a bid worth €17m to sign the midfielder.
Two days ago, Sky Italia reported that AC Milan, Napoli and Atalanta also have an interest in the player.
Having already found an agreement with the north London club, the 21-year-old’s preference is to move to the Emirates this summer.
Another report from Sky Italia, via TuttoMercatoWeb, explains the Naples club are ‘on the trail’ of the Belgian with ‘great potential and prospects’.
There’s also ‘strong interest’ from the Premier League side and Vincent Kompany’s man ‘seems to be intent’ on joining Arsenal.
Lokonga ‘prefers’ to join Mikel Arteta’s side, but Sky Italia reports ‘everything is in the hands of Arsenal’ because they must decide whether to sign him or not.
Napoli are one of the clubs waiting in the background to find out the Gunners’ plans for Lokonga, and the ball is now in Arsenal’s court.
