At the weekend, TyC Sports reported Rosario Central have received an offer of €4m from Brighton & Hove Albion for Facundo Buonanotte.
It was also explained the Argentine club would demand for more money if the Seagulls insisted on signing the 17-year-old.
Olé explain Buonanotte will be a new Brighton player and they will pay a possible $12m to Rosario Central. He will arrive at The Amex in January 2023.
The South American side will receive a $6m fixed fee and can double that amount if the conditions for the variables agreed between the two clubs are fulfilled. Rosario Central will also receive 20% of the fee from a potential future sale.
During an interview with Cadena 3 Rosario’s Estadio 3, the player has revealed Brighton’s offer has been accepted by his employer. The Argentina U20 international also suggested it was hard for him to turn down an approach from the Premier League side.
“They confirmed the sale, I’m happy because it happened and I’m very grateful to Rosario Central, which is the club I love. It is for the good of my family and for my own,” he said.
“They told me that everything was already agreed. It doesn’t happen every day that a Premier League club looks for you. We fought until the end for the good of the club and of us.”
When asked about Brighton, Buonanotte explained: “I’m at Central today and I’m going to respect the club until the last day. I can say thank you to the fans for all the love and support they gave me.”
