Real Madrid C.F Femenino are eyeing a move for Everton Women’s Nathalie Bjorn in the January transfer window to cover injuries in the squad.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who say injuries to Carla Camacho and Caroline Weir ‘force’ the Whites to look at the international market.

The newspaper explains that with ‘increasingly higher aspirations’, the Real Madrid Women’s team will be forced to make two addition in the winter window thanks to the long-term injuries to Camacho and Weir.

Madrid wants to obtain a Champions League place, fight for the league and the Copa de la Reina but that will force them to sign new players to cover the ones they’ve lost.

The name that is ‘most popular’ is that of Everton’s Nathalie Bjorn, who was already close to signing for them previously but saw that blocked by the Toffees refusal to do a deal.

They may now revive that interest and test Everton’s resolve once again as the Spanish side look to reinforce their defence and cover the loss of Camacho in their defence.

What they plan to offer or what kind of deal they’re thinking of isn’t mentioned but it seems their interest in Bjorn has not gone away and the January transfer window is set to be a busy one for them, perhaps with her among the chief targets.
