Everton sacked Marco Silva in December and appointed Carlo Ancelotti as his successor at Goodison Park.

The Toffees’ results have improved under the former Chelsea manager’s guidance, but there has been no progress with regards to Moise Kean.

Kean, who arrived in England from Juventus last summer, has one goal and two assists in 26 appearances in all competitions.

On May 21st, Corriere dello Sport reported that AS Roma are interested in the 20-year-old and the Merseyside club are ready to ‘grant a loan without obligation to buy’.

The Italian capital club’s interest in the forward is also relayed by TuttoMercatoWeb as Roma are in the market looking for a young player to strengthen their attacking division.

However, TMW’s report backs up some aspects of what was claimed by Corriere dello Sport last week.

Everton are aware they will not be in a position to recover their investment (€27.5m), by letting Kean leave the club this summer. Therefore, they are willing to let the attacker go out on loan with a ‘redemption right set at a figure between €20-25m’.

The report also adds the idea of returning to the Serie A is ‘increasingly’ in the player’s mind after he struggled in his debut season in England.

With Everton and Kean both willing to open the door for a transfer, it’s now down to Roma or other interested suitors to come forward to acquire the Italy international’s services.
