Last month, we carried a report from Calciomercato.it, who explained Everton’s ‘excellent relationship’ with Juventus could help them sign Aaron Ramsey in the winter market.
Another report from the same website explains the Toffees’ interest in the 30-year-old. The Merseyside club are now joined by Leeds United in the chase for the player.
The midfielder earns a net salary of €7m per year and has made five appearances in all competitions this season. Ramsey’s performances have not been impressive and he’s failed to convince Massimiliano Allegri.
Regarding Marcelo Bielsa’s side, the report states they could only take the Welshman on a loan deal until the end of the season, and then ‘discuss the situation later’. Everton, on the other hand, ‘would be willing to invest’ €15m to acquire Ramsey’s services in January.
Rafael Benítez’s side are ‘ready to pay’ to sign Ramsey, while Leeds could do business if they can take him on a loan deal.
With Juve keen to offload the Wales international and clubs in England showing interest, it will be interesting to see how this case develops in the coming weeks.
