We’re not sure if including Everton and West Ham as clubs interested in Mario Lemina is just something that’s done out of habit these days, but the pair pop up at least once a summer next to the Gabonese midfielder’s name.
Take last summer, for example, when the player was still at Juventus before his move to Southampton.
Foot Mercato reported that both the Toffees and the Hammers were after Lemina, and that apparently hasn’t changed one bit as the same website throw the pair into the mix again for this summer alongside Tottenham and Arsenal.
They write West Ham are ‘particularly seduced’ by the Southampton man, while Everton are just described as ‘the fourth club wanting to sign him’ which doesn’t sound so exciting.
Whether signing for West Ham or Everton is seen as a step up from St Mary’s is certainly open for debate, and something we’ll let the fans of the all the teams involved argue over.
Now we just all have to wait and see if this ‘seduction’ turns into a bid from David Moyes’ side.
