Everton and West Bromwich Albion are keen on signing Standard Liege forward Ishak Belfodil, reports Belgian newspaper Het Nieuwsblad.
The Algerian international has 18 months left on his current contract, and could be switching clubs in January. Nieuwsblad say Belfodil is certainly open to offers, but finds Standard’s €15m valuation ‘outrageous’.
The Belgian side signed the 24-year-old on a free transfer only this summer, and privately realise they can’t refuse an offer of around €10m for him.
However, Everton and West Brom face competition from Celta Viga, but a move to the Premier League should be more tempting for the player. Belfodil has 9 goals and four assists to his name this season in 21 appearances, and has played for several Serie A clubs in the past.
Earlier, it has been claimed that Belfodil had the chance to sign for Arsenal in 2013, but instead opted for Inter and that didn’t really work out for him as he managed just eight appearances for the Serie A giants.
