Earlier today we covered claims from Spain that Sandro Ramirez is Sevilla’s ace up the sleeve for the end of the window.
The Spanish club have been trying to sign Michy Bathsuayi from Chelsea for several weeks but haven’t got as far as they’d have liked.
Sandro was therefore seen as the back-up option, waiting patiently at Everton for the Batshuayi deal to collapse or for someone just as attractive as Sevilla to come in.
It all put Everton in a difficult situation with the January window beginning to close, but now there’s some positive news.
German newspaper Bild report Batshuayi should be joining Borussia Dortmund as their Aubameyang replacement. And already Seville newspaper Estadio Deportivo are covering that and pushing forward ‘second option’ Sandro.
Sevilla will be offering relative pennies for the Sandro deal and Everton have to be careful in their dealings with the Spanish club, who don’t have the best track record on loan transfers and transfers generally.
