Once again there’s a few Premier League stars in Gazzetta dello Sport’s European Team of the Week.
For several years the grand old Italian newspaper have picked out a selection of the best performers from the last round of games in Europe’s domestic leagues, whilst ignoring their own Serie A in the process.
In Monday’s edition of the newspaper’s team there are players from Everton, Tottenham and Chelsea.
First up is striker Harry Kane, who scored twice for Spurs as Mauricio Pochettino’s side beat Huddersfield Town 2-0. The England international impressed with his all round performance and in Gazzetta’s team he’s central to a line-up with sees him flanked by Neymar and Yussuf Poulsen.
Despite missing a penalty, Gylfi Sigurdsson makes the team after scoring twice in Everton’s 3-0 victory over Fulham.
David Luiz’s inclusion in defence is no surprise as the Brazilian defender put in a superb performance to help Chelsea to a 1-1 draw with Liverpool.
