Everton striker Cenk Tosun is set to fly to Istanbul via a private jet to finalise his loan move to Besiktas before deadline day.
That’s according to various reports in Turkey this afternoon, who pick up on reports that the Super Lig side have finalised a deal with the Toffees to loan the striker until the end of the season.
NRT Spor reported earlier today that a last-ditch effort from Besiktas to re-sign Tosun on loan had been successful, with the two clubs finally agreeing a deal for him to make the move.
That report was short on information, but the rest of the Turkish media have now provided it in their own reports.
Fanatik say the deal is expected to be finalised ‘in a short time’ and that Besiktas have agreed a loan deal which will see them pay Tosun’s €1.2m wages in full.
Hurriyet don’t back up the point about his wages but do say a deal is in place and Besiktas will not pay a loan fee for the move.
Sabah, meanwhile, have Tosun arriving on a loan deal too and insist that is all it will be, with no purchase option included.
Fotomac, citing A Spor, also say Besiktas have finally reached an agreement to loan Tosun until the end of the season and add that Tosun is set to leave Everton soon and fly via private plane to sign his contract with the Turkish side.
Milliyet have the same information as elsewhere and add that the interest from Spanish and Russian teams proved ‘effective’ in pushing Besiktas to get a deal over the link.
They have discussed the final details of the move with Everton and Tosun, and he is set to finalise his return shortly.
