West Bromwich Albion’s loan move for Galatasaray striker Mbaye Diagne will see them pay €6m if the striker helps to keep them in the Premier League.

That’s according to Fotospor, who say the deal has various clauses depending on how West Brom perform between now and the end of the season.

The Baggies completed a move for Diagne yesterday, with the striker joining on loan until the end of the season after Sam Allardyce made adding another forward to his squad a priority before Monday’s deadline.

Reports in Turkey about the move stated that the Baggies had paid €800,000 to secure the loan and Fotospor follow that up with more details today.

They say that West Brom have actually paid £1.4m for the six-month loan, but if Diagne succeeds in helping them to avoid relegation, Galatasaray will get another £6m.

However, even if they are relegated the striker is not set to return, with him instead set to join them in the Championship and West Brom instead paying £4m for the permanent transfer.

It now remains to be seen which of the two it turns out to be, but either way, it seems Diagne is set for an extended spell at the Hawthorns regardless.
