Barcelona defender Arnau Comas would be tempted to move to the Premier League, should someone like Everton make a move for him.
That’s according to journalist Santi Ovalle, who says the defender’s thinking would be changed if a Premier League club approached him with a serious offer.
Reports in Spain recently linked Everton and Leicester with the young Barcelona defender, who is reportedly working his way up the ranks at the Nou Camp.
Both clubs were said to be monitoring the centre back, who is determined to remain in Spain and fight for his place.
Marca cover that today and look at it from an Everton point of view, saying the Toffees are eyeing up Comas as a replacement for Yerry Mina, who has been struggling with injury problems this season.
Comas is ‘one of the most talented’ youngsters at La Masia, and that’s alerted several clubs, including the Toffees, who’ve taken several players from Barcelona in the last few years, including Mina.
And according to Ovalle, they have every chance of convicing him into the move if the offer is right.
“(Comas) has received interest from Leicester and Everton,” the newspaper reports him saying.
“The player wants to exhaust his options to succeed at Barça, but the time has come to take a step forward.
“He has a contract until 2022, extendable to two more optional seasons, but the million-dollar offers from the Premier League could make him change his mind.”
