Sporx report Besiktas captain Oguzhan Ozyakup is drawing attention from Fenerbahce, but the midfielder wants a move to the Premier League.
The Turkey international has been strongly linked with a move to Everton with claims last week the Premier League side are set to offer him a contract.
Speaking to Sporx channel, Milliyet’s Besiktas journalist Serdar Saridag said Fenerbahce want to sign Ozyakup, but the player isn’t keen on the move: “Ozyakup is getting attention from Fenerbahce, that’s true but he’s unlikely to play for them due to his respect for Besiktas.
“Instead, I can confirm that he favours a move to Premier League.”
Ozyakup is expected to leave Besiktas at the end of the season when his contract expires with the Turkish club, and Everton have been in talks to sign the 25 year old.
Last week we covered reports from Turkey that Everton are willing to meet the player’s demands and are preparing a contract offer.
Everton were given a boost when Ozyakup turned down Besiktas’ latest contract offer, said to be €1.8m a season. The former Arsenal player is demanding €2.5m.
