Everton are ‘interested’ in Red Bull Bragantino midfielder Eric Ramires and are ‘studying’ a move for him this summer.
That’s according to UOL in Brazil, who say the Brazilian side will not sell the 21-year-old for ‘low values’ if a move is to happen.
Ramires, a central midfielder by trade but capable of playing as a defensive midfielder as well, has been a regular for Red Bull this season with 24 appearances in all competitions.
That’s been a drop from his 48 appearances last season but still significant numbers for someone of his age.
And it appears he’s been noticed, too, with UOL reporting that Everton are ‘studying the signing’ of the midfielder as part of their rebuild this summer.
Getting him from Bragantino will not be easy as the club are not willing to negotiate a deal for a low sum after paying R$12 million for 70% of his rights at the end of 2021 after having him on loan last season.
That works out at around £1.9m, and while there is no mention of how much Everton would have to pay, it is suggested it will be a higher sum than that as Bragantino are not going to do a deal ‘for low values’.
For context, Transfermarkt have him valued at around £3.6m, the highest his market value has ever been, so that is likely to be a starting point should the Toffees push for a move.
