That Romelu Lukaku wants to leave Goodison Park and move to a ‘bigger’ club than Everton isn’t exactly a surprise anymore.
The Belgium international has made his stance on the matter very clear, publicly explaining his reasons for rejecting his side’s contract renewal offer, and sparking transfer rumours left, right and centre in the process.
Initially arriving at Everton on loan from Chelsea, Lukaku was eventually transferred to the Toffees permanently for £30m, where he has developed in one of the best young strikers in the world.
Transfer rumours have sent him all around Europe, with clubs such as Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and even his former club, now managed by Antonio Conte, said to be very keen on his services.
In love with football and everything about it, Lukaku tries to keep as up to date as possible on all the big teams and what goes on there, as he explained to Sport/Foot in Belgium this week.
He said: “I can never have enough of football. I eat it from the moment I wake up until I go to sleep. I’m subscribed to everything you can think of: Chelsea TV, Manchester United TV, Real Madrid TV. I want to know everything about how these guys train and live their everyday lives.”
Considering both Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho will be likely looking for a new striker during the upcoming transfer window, it’s good for fans to know that if he does transfer to Stamford Bridge or Old Trafford in the summer, he’ll already know everything there is to know about both clubs.
