Ad.nl have reported Vitesse goalkeeper Eloy Room is set to undergo a medical, ahead of a transfer to PSV.
The 28 year old has been on verge of leaving Vitesse in recent weeks, and at one stage it looked like he would be moving to Everton.
The Dutch newspaper have revealed PSV want to sign Room as back to their first choice keeper Jeroen Zoet, due to injury concerns with current No.2 Luuk Koopmans.
Room will be presented as a PSV player once he’s had his medical in Eindhoven, and the Dutch side are hoping he’ll be available for the game against NAC Breda on Sunday.
Everton have been linked with a move for Room this summer, with recent claims in the Dutch media a move to Goodison Park was the goalkeeper’s likeliest destination.
With Joel Robles linked with a move back to Spain, Ronald Koeman was considering signing Room as the Spaniard’s replacement.
Room has just one year left on his contract with Vitesse, and Everton would have been able to pick him up for a relative cheap fee.
It’s unlikely Koeman will be losing much sleep.
